Following a series of spy photos and leaked images, the 2018 Renault Megane RS officially introduced in Frankfurt. Renault also announced all specifications and price details.
The French member of C-segment hot hatch market, the 2018 Renault Megane RS has a new turbo petrol engine and for the first time in its history came with two different gearbox options.

Let's start with the numbers. All-new Megane RS reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. All-new 1.8-liter direct-injection turbo petrol engine rated at 280PS and 390Nm of torque, is also being used on the Alpine A110. The new engine will be presented with a 6-speed manual or dual-clutch gearbox and launch control system.
If you want more power, you need to wait for the end of 2018 because Renault will also release the Trophy variant, which offers 300 horsepower.
The front-wheel drive 2018 Renault Megane RS is backed by the chassis and steering mechanism to control all this power. French brand engineers added two new features to the 2018 Renault Megane RS - 4Control four-wheel steering system and two different Cup and Sport chassis settings. 4Control system has hydraulic compression, on Cup chassis setting includes limited slip differential.

The 355 millimeter brake discs located between the Brembo calipers can be replaced with cast iron and aluminum alloy discs on request. Offered only with 5-door hatchback body type, the new Megane RS also features Renault's Multi-Sense driving mode system. These modes are called 'Comfort', 'Normal',' Sport', 'Race' and 'Pro'.
Other available features include, an adaptive cruise control with emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning system, reversing camera and park assistant.
If we look at the prices, €1,500 required for 'Cup Pack' package. Other options include head-up display (€400), Bose audio (€600), RS Monitor (€250) or RS Monitor Expert system (€450), Alcantara trim (€1,500), 19-inch alloy wheels (€1,000) and yellow or orange paint (€1,600).
The 2018 Renault Megane RS with manual transmission starts at €37,600 on the European market. You need to look at €39,400 for a dual-clutch EDC gearbox.
